Today is the third day of the PPP Blog Hop and I’ll be joining with my second project. If you haven’t seen the first card I entered, click here.
Since it’s the Pretty Pink Posh blog hop, that’s the color scheme I picked for today’s card. Also, Paulina has absolutely mastered the technique of little critters/characters peeking out of windows (just look at the blog hop badge 
) and I wanted to try this myself.
I used the Mama Elephant Femme Frames dies for the background panels, then the Simon Says Stamp Tri Square Die and Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Border Dies. Phew. Oh and the Beep Boop Birthday Stamps and dies. I guess that is enough to participate in a “Cutting Edge” blog hop 
If you look closely, you’ll see that I stamped the large scalloped panel with the gear stamps from the Lawn Fawn set, using Hero Arts Soft Pink ink. Paulina often does that to her backgrounds, as does the wonderful Laura Sterckx, so I’m borrowing their idea here
The Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders were glued behind the strip I cut from the SSS die to give some contrast against the white panel. The robots were both colored with Copic markers, then (very) generously coated with three layers of Wink of Stella clear and then I poured Glossy Accents over them. I love how that traps and even enhances the glitter.
You might wonder why I chose the robots for a feminine card? Well, because I think that there are enough girls who love technology. I used to run a pretty successful German blog on all things Apple, reviewing apps and gadgets, and many of my readers were surprised when they realized I was female. Some of them even made rude comments, along the lines of “what would a woman know of this kind of stuff, it’s a male domain”, which ticked me off to no end. We are in the 21st century and some guys behave like they just beamed in from the stone age.
I went on to go to work for a company that actually makes great apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. I work in customer support, helping our users when they run into trouble, I test our applications before we ship them, etc. I’m a woman and I love technology and I bet I’m not the only one out there. So, this is my statement to not think in gender stereotypes and while these robots would surely delight most boys, I think there is a girl here and there who’d also squeal in delight about them Alright, no more preaching from me.
To come back to the card and the products: of course I used Pretty Pink Posh Sequins. Wouldn’t be much of a PPP blog hop if I didn’t and i just love, love, love Paulina’s sequins because most of them are matte and I like it
